Sessions

Who we are

The Sessions Class is comprised of believers and followers of Jesus who seek deeper understanding and application of their faith through study, reflection, and honest open dialogue.

What we do

We draw upon traditional scripture, objective research, and contemporary scholarship. We respect, value, and seek application from the wisdom and values found in other faith traditions. And we stress social applications of Christian values to further the compassionate kingdom of God taught and exemplified in the ministry of Jesus.

At times, we jointly read and discuss the same book, article, essay, or poem. A class member may report on something they read or researched. We may discuss the social or ethical dimensions of recent developments in the news.

We occasionally invite guest speakers, watch a video, or jointly attend a lecture at a college or university in our area. We are flexible, informal, and inclusive.

Where we meet

Second floor of the education wing.
