Nursery Department Policies
General Policy
- The Nursery Department opens 15 minutes prior to services and other scheduled events, where childcare is provided.
- Children are to be brought to their age-appropriate room by their parent and will only be released to their parent.
- Parents should pick up their children immediately following the service or event they have been attending.
- Please have your child’s belongings properly labeled. This includes:
· Diaper bag
· Bottles
· Drinking cups
· Coats
· Blankets
- Only plastic bottles clearly labeled with your child’s name and disposable diapers will be allowed in the Nursery Department.
- Children should not bring personal toys to the Nursery Department.
- Nursery Attendants must be of the age 18 and older.
- During Worship services and Sunday school hour, only children of the age of two (2) years and under are allowed to be in the nursery.
- During special events, such as Board Meetings, Adult Education classes, etc. older children up to fifth grade may be in the nursery, as allowed by the Nursery Attendant.
- Children can attend Worship and Wonder from age 3 to the completion of 1st grade.

Health Policy
- In order to provide a healthy, safe environment for our children, staff and volunteers, parents are asked to not bring children to church who are showing the following symptoms:
· A sore throat or deep, liquidly cough
· A fever (in the last 24 hours) (101° and above)
· Colored nasal discharge
· Pink eye or other noted eye infections
· Skin infections or any sores that are red, swollen, draining or appearing to spread; rashes other than diaper rash
· Diarrhea or vomiting (in the last 12 hours)
· Swelling or tenderness of glands around the face or neck
· Lice
· Any symptom of a contagious disease, such as scarlet fever, German measles, mumps or chicken pox
- Nursery Attendants will not administer any medication
- If the child develops a fever or other symptoms of illness while in the nursery, he/she will be separated from other children and the parents will be contacted to take the child home.
